Tandoori Commis I – Job DescriptionJob Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Tandoori Commis I to support the Tandoori section in preparing high-quality Indian breads, kebabs, tandoori dishes, and other grilled items while maintaining hotel standards of taste, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook tandoori dishes, kebabs, naan, roti, and other Indian breads.
- Assist in daily mise en place for the Tandoori section.
- Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and food presentation.
- Operate and maintain tandoor and related kitchen equipment safely.
- Ensure proper food storage, hygiene, and sanitation as per hotel standards.
- Monitor food quality and report any issues to the Chef/Sous Chef.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain proper stock usage.




- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Tandoori section.
- Follow all hotel food safety, HACCP, and workplace safety procedures.
- Support the kitchen team during busy operations and special events.

Requirements

- ITI/Hotel Management or relevant culinary qualification preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in a Tandoori/Indian kitchen is preferred.
- Knowledge of Indian breads, kebabs, marinades, and tandoor cooking.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hotel setting.
- Good teamwork, discipline, and willingness to learn.

Job Type

Full-time | On-site

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
