Position: Civil Engineer
Organization: Amity University Hyderabad
Location: Aerocity, Shamshabad, Hyderabad

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Campus Civil Infrastructure Maintenance

- Supervise the day-to-day maintenance of university buildings and civil infrastructure.
- Regularly inspect buildings, classrooms, laboratories, offices, hostels, common areas, pathways, roads, parking areas, drainage systems, etc.
- Identify structural, civil, and maintenance-related issues and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
- Maintain the overall condition, appearance, and functionality of campus infrastructure.

2. Repair & Maintenance Works

- Plan and supervise civil repair and maintenance activities.
- Handle works related to:
- Masonry and plastering
- Flooring and tiling
- Painting and finishing
- Waterproofing and leakage treatment
- Roof and terrace maintenance
- Doors, windows, and other civil fixtures
- Roads, pathways, kerbs, and paving
- Drainage and storm-water systems
- Minor structural repairs
- Ensure timely closure of maintenance complaints and work requests.

3. Quality & Technical Supervision

- Ensure all civil works meet required quality and technical standards.
- Inspect materials and workmanship used for maintenance and construction activities.
- Identify defective work and ensure necessary rectification.
- Maintain appropriate measurement records and documentation.
- Ensure proper finishing and workmanship across campus facilities.

4. Preventive Maintenance





- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for campus civil infrastructure.
- Conduct periodic inspections to identify potential issues before they become major repairs.
- Maintain records of recurring maintenance issues and recommend long-term solutions.
- Assist in planning annual maintenance requirements and budgets.

5. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure civil maintenance and construction activities are carried out safely.
- Monitor safety practices at work sites and ensure contractors use appropriate PPE.
- Identify potential structural and infrastructure-related safety risks and escalate them promptly.
- Ensure work areas are properly barricaded and do not create hazards for students, faculty, staff, or visitors.

6. Budget & Material Management

- Prepare estimates for civil maintenance and repair works.
- Assess material requirements and coordinate procurement requirements.
- Monitor consumption of construction and maintenance materials.
- Support cost-effective execution of maintenance activities without compromising quality.
- Maintain appropriate records of work orders, estimates, measurements, and completed works.

Desirable Experience

Candidates with experience in universities, educational institutions, hospitals, hotels, corporate campuses, large commercial buildings, residential townships, or large infrastructure facilities would be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
