Quality Control – Recent Product Development (NPD)

Job Title: Quality Control Executive/Engineer – New Product Development
Department: Quality / New Product Development
Reports To: Quality Manager / NPD Manager

Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring that new products meet defined quality, performance, safety, regulatory, and customer requirements from concept through development, validation, and production launch.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review quality requirements and specifications for new products.
- Work closely with R&D;, NPD, Production, Procurement, and Engineering teams during product development.
- Develop and review Quality Plans, Inspection Standards, SOPs, and acceptance criteria.
- Identify potential quality risks during product design and development.
- Conduct inspections and testing of prototypes, samples, raw materials, components, and finished products.
- Participate in prototype trials, pilot production, and pre-production validation.
- Analyze defects and deviations and coordinate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Support FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and process validation activities where applicable.




- Ensure product specifications and quality standards are properly transferred from NPD to mass production.
- Establish inspection methods and sampling plans for new products.
- Monitor first production runs and verify compliance with approved specifications.
- Maintain quality documentation, inspection records, test reports, and product validation records.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding quality issues related to new components/materials.
- Support customer complaints and product improvement activities related to newly launched products.
- Track quality KPIs such as rejection rate, defect rate, first-pass yield, and customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements
