Key Responsibilities
- Operate CMM for in-process, first-off and final inspection of components.
- Set up components, fixtures and probes correctly before measurement.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, dimensions and tolerances.
- Apply GD&T; principles for dimensional and geometric inspection.
- Execute existing CMM inspection programs and make necessary program adjustments.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain measurement records.
- Identify dimensional deviations, defects and non-conformities and report them to the Quality/Production team.
- Use conventional measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge and Gauges.
- Check critical dimensions, profiles, position, concentricity, flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity and other geometric characteristics.
- Ensure CMM machine, probes and fixtures are clean and properly maintained.
- Perform probe qualification and routine machine checks as per defined procedures.
- Support calibration activities and ensure measuring equipment is within calibration.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality and Engineering teams for resolving dimensional issues.
- Maintain proper documentation of inspection results and rejection/non-conformance reports.
- Follow company quality procedures, safety requirements and 5S practices.
