We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer / Data Management Specialist with strong hands-on experience in Informatica, Snowflake, Informatica Data Catalog (IDC), and Data Modelling. The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data solutions, building data pipelines, managing metadata, and supporting enterprise data governance and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Informatica.
- Work extensively with Snowflake for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and data warehousing.
- Develop and maintain data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Perform data profiling, metadata management, data discovery, and lineage analysis using Informatica Data Catalog (IDC).
- Configure and maintain metadata harvesting and connectivity across various enterprise data sources.
- Implement data integration workflows between databases, cloud platforms, applications, and enterprise systems.
- Develop optimized SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and Snowflake data transformation logic.
- Design scalable and performant dimensional models, including fact and dimension tables.
- Support data quality, data governance, data lineage, and data classification initiatives.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Analysts, Business Analysts, and application teams to understand data requirements.
- Analyze existing data structures and recommend improvements to data models and integration architecture.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline, ETL, performance, and data quality issues.
- Follow best practices for security, data access, governance, performance, and maintainability.
- Prepare technical documentation for data flows, mappings, data models, and integration processes.

Required Skills

Informatica

- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica ETL/Data Integration.
- Experience developing mappings, workflows, transformations, and reusable components.
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration patterns.

Snowflake





- Strong experience with Snowflake data warehousing.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with schemas, tables, views, stages, warehouses, and Snowflake data-loading mechanisms.
- Understanding of Snowflake performance optimization and scalable data-processing patterns.

Informatica Data Catalog (IDC)

- Hands-on experience with Informatica Data Catalog.
- Understanding of metadata management and data discovery.
- Experience with data lineage and impact analysis.
- Knowledge of metadata harvesting, technical metadata, business metadata, and data classification.
- Understanding of data governance concepts and enterprise data catalogs.

Data Modelling

- Robust understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling.
- Experience designing dimensional models, star schemas, and snowflake schemas.
- Understanding of fact and dimension tables, normalization/denormalization, keys, relationships, and slowly changing dimensions (SCD).
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable data models.

Good to Have

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Experience with Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
- Experience with Informatica Cloud Data Quality (CDQ).
- Exposure to BI/analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Experience

- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, Data Management, or Data Warehousing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica and Snowflake.
- Practical experience with Informatica Data Catalog (IDC) and Data Modelling.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
