Job Description – Mid-Level Civil Engineer

Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience in civil construction / project execution

Role Overview:

We are seeking a technically strong and result-oriented Mid-Level Civil Engineer with hands-on experience in civil construction, quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, tender documentation, site execution, billing, and project coordination. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating site execution, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, monitoring contractors, and supporting project planning, commercial and technical activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare, review, verify, and finalize detailed civil BOQs, quantity take-offs, quantity estimates, rate analysis, SOWs, and tender documents.

* Review tender documents, BOQs, drawings, specifications, scope of work, and contract conditions for technical and commercial compliance.

* Conduct day-to-day site supervision and monitor civil construction activities, including complex civil works.

* Ensure execution is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, project schedules, and safety requirements.

* Review and coordinate civil, structural, and shop drawings, ensuring alignment with site requirements and construction methodology.

* Identify drawing, BOQ, specification, and site-related discrepancies and coordinate with consultants, PMC, client, and design teams for necessary clarifications and revisions.

* Prepare and monitor site execution plans, work schedules, resource requirements, and activity-wise execution plans.

* Monitor contractor activities, workmanship,



productivity, and overall quality of work.

* Conduct site inspections, identify technical issues/non-conformities, and coordinate for timely corrective actions.

* Coordinate with PMC, consultants, client, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams on technical, execution, planning, and commercial matters.

* Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Safety, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth execution and interface management.

* Lead and guide Junior Engineers, Supervisors, and site execution teams.

* Assist in project planning, site measurements, quantity verification, billing, and reconciliation of quantities.

* Verify contractor measurements, interim bills, quantities executed, and supporting documents before certification/recommendation.

* Maintain accurate site records, measurements, inspection records, approvals, technical submissions, daily progress reports, and project documentation.

* Prepare and maintain MIS reports, progress reports, quantity statements, and management updates.

* Assist in preparation of inspection reports, technical submissions, work completion documentation, and other project records.





* Monitor site progress against approved schedules and coordinate with site teams to ensure timely completion of activities.

* Ensure proper documentation and closure of inspections, approvals, technical queries, site instructions, and corrective actions.

* Support management in technical, commercial, planning, and execution-related matters as required.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

* 5–8 years of relevant experience in civil construction, project execution, or infrastructure/industrial projects.

* Experience in industrial buildings, yard development, infrastructure projects, or large-scale construction projects will be preferred.

* Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, rate analysis, billing, quantity reconciliation, and tender documentation.

* Positive understanding of civil/structural drawings, specifications, method statements, and construction practices.

* Hands-on experience in site supervision, contractor management, measurement, quality control, and project documentation.

Software Skills:

* AutoCAD – Good working knowledge of civil/structural drawings and drawing review.

* MS Excel – Strong proficiency in quantity calculations, BOQs, billing, reconciliation, MIS, and data analysis.

* MS Office – Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and other documentation tools.

* Knowledge of project planning/scheduling tools will be an added advantage.
