Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Remittance Specialist – SWIFT to handle international fund transfers and related banking operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SWIFT transactions, outward remittances, international payments, transaction processing, and compliance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Process and monitor international/outward remittance transactions through SWIFT.
- Handle SWIFT payment messages, including MT103 and other relevant SWIFT messages.
- Verify customer instructions, beneficiary details, payment information and supporting documents.
- Ensure transactions are processed accurately and within defined turnaround times.
- Coordinate with banks, correspondent banks and internal teams regarding payment processing.
- Investigate and resolve payment delays, rejections, returns and transaction discrepancies.
- Perform transaction checking, reconciliation and payment tracking.
- Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, sanctions screening and internal banking policies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all remittance transactions.
- Respond to internal and customer queries related to international fund transfers.
- Escalate unusual or suspicious transactions to the appropriate compliance team.
- Ensure high accuracy and confidentiality while handling financial transactions.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking,



Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.
- Previous experience in international remittance, SWIFT, banking operations, foreign exchange or international payments.
- Good understanding of SWIFT payment processes and international fund transfers.
- Knowledge of AML, KYC and sanctions/compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet transaction processing deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and banking/financial systems.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in banking operations, international remittance, SWIFT payments, correspondent banking, forex operations or payment processing will be preferred.
