Position Summary

Level: Senior Manager

As a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for overall technical delivery as part of large-scale software solutions at enterprise level. You will lead functional and technical teams on the project located across shores guiding and mentoring junior team members and collaborating to understand the functional requirements. You will respond to new sales or proposals and support end-to-end delivery of the project along with estimations and planning.

You will be responsible for managing the design, development, and deployment of large-scale system implementations at an enterprise level. You will be responsible for independently managing the team and guiding team members at different levels through their career path, work through technical leads across shores to manage implementation of the functional requirements and implement them on platforms like Guidewire and Majesco. You will own the end-to-end delivery of the project from estimations, planning, and execution. You would also be responsible for managing the status and end to end delivery of the final product.

About the Role

Deloitte's Health Care Provider practice helps hospital and health system clients design, implement, optimize, and stabilize Epic and other electronic medical record (EMR) platforms as part of broader digital and clinical transformation programs. We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead our offshore Epic delivery teams, acting as the connective layer between onshore client-facing leadership and our India-based build, testing, and support teams.

This is a delivery leadership role — you will own workstream execution, team management, and quality for one or more Epic modules/applications across engagements, while helping mature our offshore Epic capability.

What You'll Do

- Lead offshore delivery for Epic EMR workstreams (e.g., Ambulatory, Inpatient/ClinDoc, Cadence, Prelude/ADT, Willow, Beacon, OpTime, ASAP, Grand Central, Radiant, HIM, or Payer platforms) across implementation, optimization, upgrade, and application managed services (AMS)



engagements.
- Manage a team of Epic analysts, builders, and testers (typically 60–80+ FTEs), including staffing, performance management, mentoring, and career development.
- Own workstream execution — build plans, Incidents/SRs, small and large enhancements— ensuring on-time, on-quality delivery against client-agreed scope and adhering to client’s processes.
- Partner with client and onshore engagement leadershipto translate client requirements, workflows, and design decisions into actionable offshore work packages.
- Drive governance and reporting — status updates, RAID logs, capacity/utilization tracking, and escalation management across time zones.
- Ensure Epic build quality and compliance with client governance, Epic's own standards (e.g., Epic's Storyboard/Chronicles environment practices), and Deloitte delivery methodology.
- Support pre-sales and proposal efforts, including offshore staffing plans, effort estimation, and delivery approach for new pursuits.
- Contribute to offshore practice development — recruiting, training curricula, reusable accelerators, and knowledge management.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across US/onshore client teams, and internal Deloitte leadership.

Required Qualifications

- 15+ years of total IT/consulting experience, with 6+ years dedicated to Epic EMR implementation, optimization, or support.
- Proven experience managing offshore or globally distributed teams on Epic engagements, including cross-time-zone delivery models.
- Hands-on depth in at least one major Epic application area (Ambulatory, Inpatient, ClinDoc, Cadence/Prelude, Willow, Beacon, OpTime, ASAP, Radiant, HIM, or Tapestry/Payer), with working knowledge of adjacent modules.
- Active or recent Epic certification(s) in a relevant module (certification lapses acceptable if recency and/or depth are demonstrated).
- Experience across the full ITSM delivery activities: Incidents, SRs, changes, tasks and projects/enhancements with associated build, unit/integration/UAT testing, cutover planning, go-live support, and post-live stabilization activities
- Strong people leadership — staffing, performance reviews, coaching, and building bench strength in an offshore delivery center.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to onshore client and Deloitte leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Health Informatics, Life Sciences, or related); Master's preferred.




- Flexibility to work overlapping hours with US client teams as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience at a Big 4 or major healthcare IT consulting firm.
- Multiple Epic certifications or other EMR experience
- Exposure to Epic upgrades (e.g., version migrations), or multi-hospital rollouts.
- Familiarity with adjacent healthcare IT domains: HL7/FHIR interoperability, revenue cycle, clinical informatics, or population health.
- Experience with Agile/hybrid delivery methodologies and tools (JIRA, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps).
- Prior role in building or scaling an offshore/GDC healthcare IT practice.
