Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-focused PGT Chemistry Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Chemistry education in accordance with the CBSE curriculum, developing students' conceptual understanding and scientific thinking, and preparing students effectively for board examinations and competitive academic pathways.

The candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom-management skills, and the ability to make Chemistry engaging, practical, and application-oriented.

Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Academic Delivery

- Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons in accordance with the CBSE/NCERT curriculum (NEET / JEE).
- Teach Chemistry effectively to senior secondary students, particularly Classes XI and XII.
- Develop students' conceptual understanding through practical examples, demonstrations, activities, and discussions.
- Use innovative and student-centric teaching methodologies to improve learning outcomes.
- Integrate technology and digital learning resources wherever appropriate.
- Differentiate instruction based on students' learning abilities and academic needs.

2. Practical & Laboratory Activities

- Conduct Chemistry practical classes in accordance with CBSE guidelines and the prescribed curriculum.
- Ensure students understand laboratory procedures, chemical reactions, observations, and applications.
- Maintain proper laboratory discipline and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the laboratory staff regarding chemicals, equipment, experiments, and practical requirements.
- Guide students in maintaining practical records and preparing effectively for practical examinations.

3. Assessment & Academic Monitoring

- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers, and assessment materials.
- Conduct periodic tests, examinations, quizzes, and other forms of assessment.
- Evaluate students' performance and provide constructive feedback.




- Maintain accurate academic records and student performance data.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support to students.
- Prepare students for CBSE board examinations through structured revision and examination-oriented practice.

4. Student Development & Mentoring

- Encourage curiosity, scientific thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Mentor students regarding their academic progress and subject-related challenges.
- Provide additional academic support to students who require assistance.
- Encourage participation in science exhibitions, Olympiads, projects, competitions, and other academic activities.
- Support students in developing effective study habits and examination strategies.

5. Curriculum & Academic Coordination

- Collaborate with other Chemistry teachers and the academic team for curriculum planning and execution.
- Participate in departmental meetings and academic planning activities.
- Contribute to the preparation and review of academic resources and teaching materials.
- Maintain the prescribed curriculum pace and ensure timely completion of the syllabus.
- Participate in CBSE-related academic activities, workshops, training, and professional-development programmes.

6. Classroom Management

- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Establish clear expectations for student behaviour and academic performance.
- Promote mutual respect, collaboration, and active participation among students.
- Handle classroom concerns professionally and coordinate with the academic leadership when required.

7. School Responsibilities





- Participate actively in school events, assemblies, workshops, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Support the school's academic and institutional initiatives.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding students' academic progress when required.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and school matters.
- Comply with all school policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements.
- Undertake other academic responsibilities assigned by the Principal or Academic Coordinator.

Required Qualifications

- Master's Degree in Chemistry (M.Sc. Chemistry) from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. from a recognised institution.
- Candidates should meet the applicable CBSE/CTET/State eligibility requirements, wherever applicable.
- Solid understanding of the CBSE/NCERT Chemistry curriculum for Classes XI and XII.

Preferred Experience

- 3–5 years of teaching experience as a PGT Chemistry Teacher in a CBSE or reputed school.
- Experience handling Classes XI and XII is preferred.
- Experience preparing students for CBSE Board Examinations will be an advantage.
- Experience in conducting Chemistry practicals and laboratory activities is essential.
- Fresh candidates with excellent academic credentials and strong teaching aptitude may also be considered.
