Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Account Assistant to support the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of SMTPL. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in a manufacturing company and be proficient in SAP Business One and Advanced Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities

· Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including:

o Sales and purchase invoicing

o Expense booking

o Customer collections

o Vendor payments and vendor management

o Bank reconciliation

o Branch Accounting

· Handle and maintain petty cash, including proper recording and supporting documentation.

· Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing of accounts.

· Prepare and provide accounting and MIS-related information required for periodic closures and management review.

· Assist in Finalization of statutory compliances, including:

o GST

o TDS

o PF

o Professional Tax (PT)

o ESIC

o Other applicable statutory requirements

· Assist in statutory audits and tax audits, including preparation and submission of required supporting documents and information.





· Track accounts receivable and accounts payable and ensure timely collections and payments.

· Follow up regularly with customers for outstanding receivables and coordinate with vendors regarding payments and outstanding balances.

· Prepare management reports and other financial information for reviewing the company's financial performance.

· Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.

· Perform other accounts and finance-related activities as assigned by senior management.

Experience

· 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the accounts/finance function.

· Experience specifically in a manufacturing company is preferred.

· Hands-on experience with SAP Business One & Advanced Microsoft Excel is required.

Clear understanding of basic accounting principles and statutory compliance requirements.
