The NYC — Not Your College vertical focuses on building a strong digital-first learning and media brand.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Video Editor to support NYC’s high-volume video production across social and digital platforms.
You will be responsible for turning raw footage into engaging, platform-ready content while experimenting with different editing styles within NYC’s creative direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Edit Reels, Shorts, clips and repurposed content for social platforms.
Create captions, motion graphics, transitions and visual enhancements.
Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form formats.
Experiment with different editing styles, hooks and pacing to improve engagement.
Follow NYC’s creative and editing standards while bringing your own creative input.
Work closely with Senior Editors, Producers and Content teams.
Ensure content is delivered consistently and within deadlines.
Maintain organised project files and editing assets.
Adapt content for different platforms and audience formats.




REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
1–3 years of experience in Video Editing or Digital Content Production.
Strong understanding of short-form content and social media formats.
Good knowledge of captions, motion graphics, transitions and pacing.
Comfortable working with high-volume content requirements.
Creative mindset with willingness to experiment, learn and iterate.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.
Good understanding of storytelling and audience engagement.
Experience with professional video editing software is required.
Experience in EdTech, YouTube, digital media or content-led brands is preferred.
