Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Preprocess and Filling Departments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for manpower management, production planning, process supervision, GMP compliance, quality coordination, documentation, and ensuring timely achievement of production targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily operations across Preprocessing and Filling activities.
- Plan and allocate manpower based on production requirements and workload.
- Monitor preprocessing activities such as material handling, cleaning, purification, drying, and processing.
- Monitor critical process parameters including moisture, drying time, texture, appearance, and material quality.
- Supervise bottle filling, sealing, labelling, and related filling-line activities.
- Ensure filling accuracy, proper sealing, correct labelling, and product traceability.
- Ensure timely movement of processed materials to the Filling Department.
- Coordinate with QC, Packing, Stores, Maintenance, and Production to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, quality standards, safety requirements, and 5S practices.
- Maintain and verify batch records, production reports, process records, checklists, and other required documentation.
- Monitor production output, material consumption, wastage, machine downtime, and manpower productivity.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Department for machine breakdowns, servicing, and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure proper cleaning, sanitation, housekeeping, and workplace organization.
- Identify production bottlenecks, quality issues, material shortages, and operational challenges and escalate them to management.




- Train and guide workers on production processes, hygiene, safety, GMP, equipment operation, and 5S.
- Ensure proper identification, segregation, and handling of rejected or non-conforming materials.
- Support internal and external audits, inspections, investigations, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce wastage, minimize downtime, and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare daily/periodic production and performance reports for management.

Requirements

- 2–4 years of experience in a production/supervisory role, preferably in Ayurveda, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, or related manufacturing industries.
- Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Pharmacy, Production, Mechanical, Chemical, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of GMP, 5S, production processes, documentation, and workplace safety.
- Experience in handling production manpower and coordinating multiple production activities.
- Ability to monitor production targets, quality requirements, and process compliance.
- Valuable communication, leadership, problem-solving, and team-management skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with production documentation and reporting.
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
