Job Description Job Description: Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Lab Specialist for a leading research and engineering client. This candidate will play a key role in supporting laboratory operations, electrical testing activities, and engineering development projects. The ideal individual will have strong hands-on experience with electrical instrumentation, lab equipment setup, calibration, troubleshooting, and safety compliance. This person will partner closely with engineering teams to support testing initiatives, prototype evaluations, equipment maintenance, and laboratory process improvements while Day-to-Day: - Set up, operate, and maintain electrical laboratory equipment and test systems - Support engineers with electrical testing, experiments, and prototype evaluations - Develop and support test setups for engineering projects - Calibrate and verify testing instruments and measurement devices - Enforce electrical safety standards, policies, and best practices - Maintain laboratory inventory including tools, components, consumables, and spare parts - Ensure lab cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety regulations - Assist with creating and updating lab procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation - Support preventive maintenance schedules for laboratory equipment - Coordinate equipment repairs and vendor maintenance activities as needed We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements - 8-10 years of experience in an electrical lab, testing environment, or technical support role - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or related field - Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, instrumentation, and test equipment - Experience with electrical testing, measurement, equipment setup, and calibration - Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and similar devices - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals - Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities - Understanding of electrical safety standards, procedures, and compliance requirements - Strong technical documentation and organizational skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications - Experience supporting engineering prototype evaluations and development testing - Experience coordinating equipment repairs and vendor servicing - Experience managing lab inventory and asset tracking - Background supporting preventive maintenance programs - Exposure to research, industrial, or product development laboratory environments
