Utthunga is seeking a skilled and experienced PLC / DCS Commissioning Engineer to join our Control and Automation team. If you have a strong background in industrial automation, hands-on experience with PLC/DCS systems, and a flair for on-site support and commissioning, you'll play a crucial role in delivering successful automation solutions across diverse industries.
As a PLC / DCS Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for providing critical in office support, performing factory and site acceptance tests, and overseeing the commissioning of advanced control and automation systems for our clients.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated customer site support, addressing technical issues and ensuring system stability.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to verify system functionality and performance before deployment.
- Lead and execute Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), ensuring seamless integration and operation at the client's premises.
- Perform comprehensive commissioning of PLC and DCS systems.
- Utilize basic and preferred skill sets to troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure the reliable operation of control systems.
Basic Skill Set
- Proficiency in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
- Experience with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) development.
- Knowledge of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
- Familiarity with DCS (Distributed Control Systems).
Preferred Skill Set
- Experience with Siemens PCS7, Siemens Step7, WinCC, TIA Portal.
- Knowledge of VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) configuration and integration.
- Proficiency in PROFINET, MODBUS communication protocols.
- Understanding of IEC 61131-3 Programming standards.
- Familiarity with IEC 104, IEC 61850 protocols.
- Experience with Simocode systems.
Domain Knowledge
- Experience in industries such as Power & Energy, Cement, and Metals & Minerals.
Academics & Experience
- Academics: Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation, or NTTF certification.
- Experience: 3 to 6 Years of relevant experience.
