Assistant Manager / Manager R&D; Personal Care/ Cosmetics/Pharma

We're looking for an ownership-driven and technically sound individual with a strong background in Personal Care / Cosmetics / Rx / OTC R&D; to join our dynamic team at Mosaic Wellness. This role is pivotal for product formulation development, innovation projects, stability studies, and tech transfer to third-party manufacturers, as well as in-house R&D; NPD. You'll need hands-on R&D; execution, QA/QC knowledge, a deep sense of quality ownership, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and support formulation design, reformulation, and cost/quality optimization for a variety of product formats like Cream, Shampoo, Face Serum, Hair Oil, Face Wash, Lip Balm, Hair Care, Body Care, Baby Care, Men & Women Care, etc.
- Create bench and pilot trial batches, define specifications, and perform commercial-scale tech transfer.
- Ensure raw material testing and finished product evaluations adhere to BIS/IP/BP/IHS/IPQC/ICH standards.
- Prepare, compile, and update product documentation, dossiers, and registration files for domestic (India) and export markets (UAE/USA).
- Conduct lab testing, efficacy trials, PET (Product Compatibility Testing), and analytical assessments for R&D; trials.
- Work with external vendors and contract manufacturers for product innovations and troubleshooting.
- Partner with QC/QA teams to resolve product issues and support consumer complaint investigations.
- Contribute to innovation strategy by identifying product gaps and opportunities aligned with brand values (Man Matters, Be Bodywise, Little Joys).

Required Skills:





- Strong knowledge of formulation development across skin, hair, body, and personal care categories.
- Proficiency in NPD (Recent Product Development) cross-functional workflows, including R&D;, Tech transfer, QC/QA, Packaging, Regulatory, and Marketing.
- Strong documentation, compliance, and dossier preparation skills (COA, MSDS, Composition, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in accelerated stability studies, microbial tests, and other relevant testing.
- Solid grip on MS Office tools and internal documentation practices.
- Understanding of regulatory norms such as FDA, BIS, FSSAI, AYUSH, D&C; Act, CIDESCO, etc.
- Effective project ownership, strong team collaboration, and excellent problem-solving capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate (B.Tech Cosmetic Technology / B.Pharm / B.Sc. Cosmetic Science): Minimum 5+ years of R&D; experience.
- Postgraduate (M.Tech / M.Pharm / M.Sc. in Cosmetics, Pharmacy, Chemistry): Minimum 3+ years of R&D; experience.
- Background / Educational qualifications in Cosmetics, Personal Care, or Pharmaceutical industries are mandatory. Industry-experienced candidates preferred first.
- PhD is not required for this role.
- Only experienced technical persons in this domain will be considered.

Additional Information:

- Office timings: 9 AM to 6 PM (Monday to Friday). This is an office-based role; remote work is not allowed.
- Salary band: As per industry salary remuneration standards and basis of candidate experience.
