Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented, responsible, and experienced Junior Accountant to join our team and support the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the organization. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, reconciliations, taxation, and financial reporting, along with practical experience in accounting software.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts, recording day-to-day transactions, performing various reconciliations, supporting GST and TDS compliance, and assisting in the preparation of financial and management reports. The role requires someone who is comfortable working with large volumes of financial data and is capable of identifying discrepancies and resolving them independently.

Hands-on experience with Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software is mandatory. The candidate should also be willing to learn and work on other accounting, portfolio management, reconciliation, and business software used by the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain day-to-day accounting records, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, expenses, and other financial transactions.
- Ensure all accounting entries are recorded accurately and supported by proper documentation.
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including vendor bills, customer invoices, outstanding balances, and payment follow-ups.
- Prepare and maintain Bank Reconciliations on a regular basis and investigate differences or unmatched transactions.
- Perform Vendor, Customer, Ledger, and General Ledger (GL) reconciliations and ensure balances are accurate.
- Generate and process invoices, debit notes, credit notes, payment receipts, and other accounting documents.




- Track outstanding receivables and payables and coordinate with relevant teams for timely settlements.
- Record and maintain employee reimbursements, office expenses, travel expenses, and other business expenses.
- Maintain proper supporting documents for expenses and ensure appropriate accounting classification.
- Assist in GST workings, including sales/purchase data verification, input tax credit reconciliation, and preparation of data required for GST returns.
- Assist with TDS calculations, deductions, reconciliations, and compliance-related activities.
- Assist in maintaining records and information required for statutory audits, tax audits, and other compliance requirements.
- Perform Demat and Broker Reconciliations, including reconciliation of transactions, holdings, ledgers, contract notes, and other investment-related records where required.
- Assist in maintaining accurate investment and portfolio-related accounting records.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, including ledger scrutiny and identification of outstanding or incorrect entries.
- Prepare MIS reports, management reports, outstanding reports, expense reports, reconciliation statements, and other financial reports as required.
- Assist in maintaining the Chart of Accounts, General Ledger, Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and Balance Sheet schedules.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, vendors, clients, and internal departments whenever required.
- Identify accounting discrepancies,



follow up on pending information, and ensure timely rectification of errors.
- Maintain proper digital and physical documentation of accounting records for future reference and audit purposes.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of financial information at all times.
- Take responsibility for assigned accounting activities and complete them within defined timelines.
- Learn and adapt to new accounting, reconciliation, ERP, SaaS, and financial technology platforms used by the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field.
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Hands-on experience with Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks or similar accounting software is mandatory.
- Candidate must be comfortable learning and working on new accounting and business software platforms.
- Good understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, ledgers, journal entries, and financial statements.
- Practical knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic statutory compliance.
- Good understanding of Bank Reconciliation, Ledger Reconciliation, Vendor Reconciliation, and GL Reconciliation.
- Experience with Demat/Broker Reconciliation or investment accounting will be an added advantage.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work with spreadsheets, financial data, and large transaction volumes accurately.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for discrepancies.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Robust organizational skills and ability to maintain proper documentation.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Candidates with practical accounting experience will be preferred over candidates with only theoretical knowledge.
