Team Assistant Gurugram, HR, India (Hybrid) **Job Description** The Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Team identifies, assesses, and mitigates financial crime risks by investigating AML alerts and reviewing customer profiles, transaction patterns, and AML red flags. The team conducts Transaction Monitoring Reviews, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews and sanctions screening reviews etc, focusing on high-risk customers and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs). It also performs periodic and event-driven reviews to keep customer risk profile updated. AML team is a part of Market Compliance (India) team. **Responsibilities** This would be a compliance-focused role responsible for AML investigations, transaction and customer monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, SLA management, regulatory implementation, and committee updates within AEBC. The ideal candidate should have experience, knowledge of RBI KYC/AML regulations, exposure to AML compliance or legal work, robust communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. + Investigate transaction monitoring alerts from AML standpoint and identify unusual or potentially suspicious activities. + Analyze customer profiles and transaction patterns to identify AML red flags. + Conduct sanctions screening and review potential matches against applicable sanctions and watchlists. + Perform KYC/CDD and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for high-risk customers and PEPs. + Conduct adverse media and open-source searches to identify financial crime and reputational risks. + Perform periodic and event-driven reviews of high-risk accounts. + Document investigation findings with clear rationale and maintain audit-ready case records. + Escalating potentially suspicious activities and sanctions concerns in accordance with AML policies and procedures. + Ensure investigations are completed within defined SLA, quality,
and compliance standards. **Qualifications** + 2-3 years of relevant experience in AML compliance, with exposure to investigation-related responsibilities. + Strong academic and professional qualifications supporting compliance, risk, legal, or financial crime-related responsibilities. + Working knowledge of RBI KYC/AML regulations and the ability to apply regulatory expectations in day-to-day reviews. + Prior experience as an AML Investigator within banks or payment operators would be an added advantage. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document findings clearly and professionally. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to support effective documentation, analysis, and reporting.
