The role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, accurate salary calculations, payroll accounting alignment, and effective employee query resolution.This position plays a critical operational role in maintaining payroll data integrity, supporting audit readiness, and ensuring seamless coordination between HR, Finance, and payroll systems.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute end-to-end payroll processing including salary calculations, statutory deductions, benefits administration, and final disbursement.Validate payroll inputs such as attendance, leaves, new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary revisions.Ensure compliance with country-specific labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory filing requirements.Perform payroll reconciliations and validate payroll reports to ensure 100% accuracy before submission.Generate payroll-related reports including tax reports, benefits reports, and compliance documentation.Ensure accurate payroll accounting by validating journal entries in systems such as SAP S4 HANA, Zoho Books,
or Xero.Manage payroll processing for multiple locations/countries in alignment with defined controls and approval workflows.Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely and structured manner.Address employee payroll queries related to salary, deductions, tax, and advantages while maintaining high service standards.Maintain confidentiality and always ensure payroll data security.Stay updated on payroll regulations, Indian tax laws, and statutory changes; implement required updates in payroll processing.Technical SkillsHands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processingStrong knowledge of payroll accounting and statutory complianceAdvanced MS Excel (formulas, validations, reconciliation)Knowledge of SAP FICO / SAP S4 HANA.Functional KnowledgeUnderstanding of payroll lifecycle (input collection to disbursement)Labor laws and tax compliance fundamentalsPayroll reporting and reconciliation practicesEmployee query handling and issue resolutionTools / Systems / Technical KnowledgePayroll Processing Systems (ADP / Zoho Payroll / HR Easily or similar)SAP FICO / SAP S4 HANAXero / Zoho BooksMS Excel (Advanced)MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)HRMS platformsDecision-Making AuthorityValidate payroll data and recommend corrections prior to final approval.Identify discrepancies and escalate compliance or financial risks to reporting manager.Implement process improvements within defined payroll procedures.Scope of Influence:Operational influence within assigned payroll geographies, working closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate payroll execution.Problem-Solving ComplexityHandles routine to moderately complex payroll scenarios including reconciliation mismatches, statutory deduction discrepancies, employee escalations, and data validation errors.Requires strong attention to detail, analytical capability,
