NThe ideal candidate should possess:

- Ph.D. in Horticulture , preferably with B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Agriculture/Horticulture from reputed institutions , with a consistently strong academic record. N
- 12+ years of relevant experience in teaching, research, administration, and extension activities in a University/academic or research institution. N
- A strong and consistent research and publication profile , including quality peer-reviewed research papers, books, book chapters, and other scholarly contributions. N
- Demonstrated contribution towards innovation, patents, novel technologies, technology transfer, or field-level interventions will be an added advantage. N
