Responsibilities of Tissue Culture Lab ManagernOverall Lab Management

- Manage day-to-day operations of the tissue culture laboratory.n
- Ensure smooth and timely completion of all production activities.n
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sterile working conditions.n

nProduction Management
n
- n
- Plan and monitor tissue culture production schedules.n
- Manage stages such as media preparation, inoculation, multiplication, rooting, and acclimatization.n
- Maintain production targets and minimize contamination and losses.n

n

nTeam Management
n
- n
- Supervise lab technicians, helpers, and production staff.n
- Allocate daily work and monitor employee performance.n
- Train staff in aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures.n

n

nContamination & Quality Control
n
- n
- Monitor contamination rates and identify causes.n
- Implement corrective and preventive measures.n
- Maintain consistent plant quality, growth, and multiplication rates.n

nMedia Preparation & Inventory
n
- n




- Supervise preparation and sterilization of culture media.n
- Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals, hormones, agar, containers, and other materials.n
- Maintain inventory and ensure timely procurement.n

nEquipment Management
n
- n
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of autoclaves, laminar airflow cabinets, RO systems, growth rooms, weighing equipment, etc.n
- Maintain equipment records and coordinate servicing when required.n

nDocumentation & Records
n
- n
- Maintain batch-wise production records.n
- Track contamination, multiplication, rooting, and survival rates.n
- Maintain SOPs, laboratory logs, stock records, and quality-control reports.n

n

nAcclimatization & Nursery Management
n
- n
- Monitor transfer of tissue-cultured plants from laboratory to greenhouse/nursery conditions.n
- Improve survival rates during hardening and acclimatization.n
- Coordinate with nursery teams for fur
