We serve a massive, underserved market — millions of borrowers in Tier 2/3 India stuck between aggressive collections and zero guidance — with a WhatsApp-first, vernacular-friendly product. The Role
At Credfix, a "category" is a user cohort — borrowers segmented by delinquency stage, credit profile, and resolution intent. Each cohort behaves differently: how they discover us, what they'll pay for, how they convert, and how they resolve. As Category Manager, you will own one or more of these cohorts end-to-end — from acquisition to monetization to resolution outcomes — and be accountable for its P&L.;
This is a full-stack ownership role: part growth manager, part business owner, part product thinker.
What You'll Own
Cohort P&L;
Own revenue, contribution margin, CAC,



and LTV for your cohorts
Decide where to spend, what to price, and which sub-segments to double down on or cut
Build and defend a monthly cohort business plan with the founders
Funnel
Own the full funnel for your cohorts: lead → opt-in → activation → conversion → retention/resolution
Diagnose drop-offs at each stage and drive fixes with marketing, product, and ops
Run pricing, offer, and messaging experiments; scale what works
Acquisition
Partner with performance marketing on targeting, creative direction, and landing/WhatsApp flows tuned to your cohort
Own channel mix decisions (paid, outbound, partnerships, referrals) for your category
Insight & Product Feedback
Become the company's deepest expert on your cohort — their financial situation, psychology, objections, and triggers
Talk to users regularly; translate insight into funnel changes and product asks
Define what "resolution success" looks like for
