Job Summary
SRJ Piping India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Site Safety Officer with valuable knowledge of fire safety and industrial/construction site safety. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, monitoring site activities, conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with client and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor day-to-day site safety and HSE compliance.
Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts/conditions.
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
Implement and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
Supervise safety during hot work, welding, cutting, grinding, work at height, lifting and electrical activities.
Ensure availability and proper placement of fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment.
Have practical knowledge of fire protection systems, hydrant and sprinkler installations.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions for workers.
Inspect scaffolding, ladders, lifting equipment and other safety arrangements.
Report accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are closed.
Maintain safety records, inspection reports, toolbox talk records and other HSE documentation.
Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Engineer, Fire Supervisor, client and main contractor's safety team.
Ensure all site activities comply with project safety requirements and applicable regulations.
Stop or escalate any work that presents an immediate safety risk.
Qualification & Experience
Diploma / Degree in Safety, Fire & Safety, Industrial Safety, Mechanical or related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant site experience.
