About the Role
Small Talk is looking for a passionate and hardworking Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build their career in the food and hospitality industry while learning in a dynamic café environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist senior chefs with food preparation and cooking.
Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and workstations.
Follow food safety and quality standards.
Assist with plating and presentation of dishes.
Support inventory management and proper storage of ingredients.
Ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.
Learn and follow the café's recipes, processes and standards.
What We're Looking For
Passion for cooking and learning.




Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace.
Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Culinary qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
