Outline India is a boutique research and data organization. We collect intelligence from the grassroots — running field surveys, impact evaluations, and policy research across India and South Asia, working with clients like the World Bank, UNDP, Mastercard, Google, and GSMA. We work on the ground—designing studies, training field teams, speaking to communities, analysing data, and translating grassroots realities into insights that matter.

Role overview:
We're hiring a #QualitativeResearcher to work across field research, M&E;, impact assessments and policy studies. This is not an office-desk job. You'll work closely with research and field teams, manage data and evaluation processes, and engage with clients to ensure that findings are not only technically sound but helpful for decision-making. You'll be in the data, in the field, and working directly with teams and clients.

What you will do
? Lead Qualitative Research
Design and lead qualitative components of M&E;,



impact assessment, policy, and primary research studies
Develop research methodologies, sampling approaches, IDI/FGD guides, interview tools, and analysis frameworks.
Analyse qualitative data and translate findings into clear, actionable, evidence-based insights.
Review, adapt, translate, and localise research instruments for diverse field contexts.

? Lead Field & Project Delivery
Manage field-based research projects from planning to execution and reporting.
Coordinate field mapping, training, interviews, FGDs, and field monitoring
Develop training materials and ensure adherence to research protocols and quality standards.
Mentor and support junior researchers
Manage project timelines and contribute to smooth, high-quality delivery

We’re looking for:
? 7+ years of qualitative primary research experience
? Strong experience with IDIs, FGDs & field research
? Experience managing or contributing to
