Description
Takumi Motion Controls is Startup based out of Bangalore, India. Our focus in India is delivering EV Powertrain Solutions to Our Customers in Collaboration with our Japanese Peers.
Upholding the Vision of ‘Innovate in India with Japanese Technology’, We are developing Vehicle Powertrain Solutions (Motor controller, vehicle controller etc.,) for Electric Vehicles that will cater to selected segments in the Indian Market. With Localized design and In House Manufacturing of Solutions we strive to enable the Small Electric Vehicle Eco System.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Own complete mechanical design of products with solid focus on DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) and associated testing and validation
Perform design calculations including thermal, structural, vibration, and joints.
Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings with GD&T; compliance
Support testing, validation,
and correlation between simulation and physical results
Conduct FMEA, FTA, and structured failure analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electronics, manufacturing, suppliers)
Interface with vendors for prototype development and production support
Drive design optimization for cost, reliability, and performance
Education and Expertise
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics engineering
Relevant experience of 8 - 15 years in product design and development
Proficiency in:
Creo (or equivalent CAD tools)
ANSYS (or equivalent tools for thermal/structural analysis)
Solid understanding of:
Thermal management (heat sinks, enclosures, airflow)
Structural design and material selection
GD&T; and tolerance stack-up analysis
Experience with DFM/DFA principles and production-ready design
Hands-on experience in prototyping, testing, and validation
