Job Responsibilities:

1. Assortment Planning and Product Selection
· Develop a differentiated product assortment suited to airport travellers, gifting needs and impulse purchases.
· Select products based on customer profile, travel patterns, store location, seasonality and available retail space.
· Maintain an appropriate balance of bestselling, premium, exclusive and entry-price products.
· Identify opportunities for travel-exclusive products, gift packs and convenient pack sizes.
· Regularly review the assortment and discontinue slow-moving or low-margin products.
2. Sales and Inventory Planning
· Prepare category-wise sales and purchase plans in coordination with the planning team.
· Forecast demand based on sales trends, passenger traffic, seasonality, festivals and promotional calendars.
· Ensure adequate availability of bestselling products while controlling excess inventory.
· Monitor sell-through, stock cover,



ageing inventory and replenishment requirements.
· Coordinate stock allocation across airport stores based on their sales potential and passenger profile.
3. Vendor Management and Sourcing
· Identify and develop reliable suppliers for airport-suitable products.
· Negotiate purchase prices, margins, credit terms, minimum order quantities and delivery timelines.
· Ensure vendors meet agreed standards for quality, packaging, labelling and supply consistency.
· Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews.
· Develop alternate vendors for critical and high-volume products.
4. Pricing and Profitability
· Recommend retail prices based on product positioning, landed cost, competitive pricing and margin expectations.
· Monitor category gross margins and take corrective action where required.
· Evaluate product profitability after considering discounts, logistics costs, airport commissions and other channel-specific costs.
