Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using Tandem Cobol.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure adherence to best practices.
Debug and troubleshoot application issues, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.




Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing to validate application functionality.
Document technical specifications, design documents, and user manuals for developed applications.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mainframe technologies, particularly Tandem Cobol.
Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on technical challenges and project tasks.
Mandatory Skills:
Solid expertise in Tandem Cobol programming.
Proficient in mainframe development tools and environments.
Solid understanding of database management systems and data manipulation.
Experience with debugging and performance tuning of mainframe applications.
