Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Controls Design Engineer based in Khed. The Controls Design Engineer will design and develop control systems for manual and robotic weld lines, including PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and electrical schematics. Day-to-day responsibilities include selecting control hardware, preparing I/O lists, programming and configuring control components, and integrating safety systems.



The role involves working with mechanical and project teams to ensure seamless integration of controls into fixtures and material handling equipment, conducting testing and commissioning at the shop floor and customer sites, and troubleshooting control-related issues. The engineer will also document designs, support continuous improvement of standards, and collaborate with customers to meet technical and performance requirements.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in control system design, including PLC programming, HMI configuration, and electrical schematic development for industrial automation.
Experience with robotic welding cells and manual weld lines, including integration of robots, weld controllers, sensors, and safety interlocks.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networking (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet) and ability to interface multiple control devices.
Proficiency with CAD or ECAD too
