Summary:
The Storage and Backup Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of enterprise data across on-premises and virtualized environments. Reporting to the DC Manager/Infrastructure Head, this individual is responsible for the administration, monitoring, and optimization of backup, storage, and virtualization systems.



The role focuses on maintaining high availability and disaster recovery readiness through robust backup strategies for Veeam, Kubernetes/OpenShift (KubeVirt), MS SQL Always-On, and SAN storage (NetApp & Lenovo). The administrator ensures compliance with security and audit standards (ISO/ISMS), drives SLA adherence, and collaborates cross-functionally with network, server, and database teams to deliver resilient data protection solutions.

Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain the Veeam Backup & Replication environment for on-premises and virtual workloads.
Design and implement backup strategies for Kubernetes clusters and OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) VMs.
Manage snapshot-based backups and ensure point-in-time recovery capabilities are validated and operational.
Support MS SQL Enterprise Always-On availability groups with backup and recovery planning.
Monitor backup jobs, resolve failures proactively, and ensure SLA compliance across all backup operations.
