Job Summary
Ø First and second line support for all compute, storage, and networking infrastructure issues for On-prem. and public cloud hosted SLES Linux servers.
Ø Drive OS and Application patching and upgrades as per the plan.
Ø Set-up Alerts, reports, and dashboards for monitoring system health.
Ø Delivery responsibilities in the areas of private cloud network administration, security administration, instantiation, provisioning, optimizing the setting, third party software support.
Key Responsibilities
Ø Perform day to day support on the servers like administration, housekeeping, maintenance,
upgrade of OS, performing Security related controls and checks.
Ø Work on server related issues of major/minor/simple/complex in nature
Ø Perform patching and upgrades as per the plan
Ø Configuring Health checks and taking appropriate actions based on the alerts and checks
Ø Backups, snapshot activity in preparation to changes being implemented
Ø Automate the routine activities
Ø Linux servers Performance and capacity management
Ø Using the Change & Problem Management Tools to perform any planned/unplanned maintenance
Ø Handling of the Day to Day House Keeping tasks by using tools & scripts
Ø Preparation of RCA for all major/minor incidents
Ø Identify improvement opportunities in existing processes and recommend actions
Ø Build and deliver periodic SLA and other Reports to management
Ø 24 x 7 Environment in shift roaster based duties
