Job Description – Jigs & Fixtures Assembly FitterPosition: Jigs & Fixtures Assembly Fitter

Department: Tool Room / Production

Experience: 2–5 years

Key Responsibilities:

- Assemble jigs, fixtures, gauges, and precision tooling as per engineering drawings.
- Perform fitting, filing, grinding, drilling, tapping, and rework as required.
- Ensure proper alignment, fitment, clearances, and functionality of assembled components.
- Work with precision components requiring close tolerances.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and Dial Gauge.
- Coordinate with CNC/VMC machinists, designers, and QC inspectors for assembly and corrections.
- Identify assembly issues and carry out necessary adjustments/rework.
- Maintain proper tools,



equipment, and workplace discipline.
- Follow quality, safety, and 5S procedures.

Required Skills:

- Good knowledge of Jigs & Fixtures assembly and precision fitting.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings/GD&T;.
- Valuable knowledge of tolerances, fits, and assembly sequence.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and fitting machines.
- Good measurement and inspection skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules.

Qualification: ITI – Fitter / Tool & Die Maker preferred.
