Job Highlights
Drive the global program for control performance and alarm system optimization across LANXESS production facilities. The role ensures stable, reliable, and efficient plant operations by improving basic regulatory control (PID performance) and implementing best-in-class alarm management practices, in alignment with global standards and in close collaboration with regional experts and rollout teams. Ensure and support to implement PCT compliance towards functional safety, OT security and lifecycle management.
Drive the global rollout of control performance monitoring (CPM) and alarm management optimization programs
Assess and improve PID loop performance across plants (stability, responsiveness, variability reduction)
Implement and sustain alarm rationalization programs aligned with standards (e.g., ISA 18.2 / EEMUA 191)
Ensure and support to implement PCT compliance towards functional safety, OT security and lifecycle management.
Train operations and engineering teams on control tuning and alarm philosophy
Deploy tools for continuous monitoring of loop health and alarm KPIs
Support integration with digital initiatives (data platforms, dashboards)
Experience / Skills
Specific Education Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering
Work Experience 10+ Years
Special Skills Robust foundation in process control engineering (PID tuning, loop analysis), alarm management principles and experience with CPM tools, Experience in Chemical Plant, Stakeholder management and communication skills, Solid foundation in PLC, DCS, Functional Safety, IT/OT convergence & OT security
