Job Description
The Assistant Manager – IOL manages procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships for Intraocular Lenses (IOL) and related ophthalmic consumables across the assigned region, ensuring optimum stock availability, cost efficiency, and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities
· Manage IOL and ophthalmic consumables procurement and inventory planning.
· Build and maintain robust relationships with IOL manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers.
· Forecast demand based on center requirements, consumption trends, and business needs.
· Ensure adequate stock availability across assigned centers and minimize stock-out situations.
· Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, payment terms, and other procurement conditions with suppliers.
· Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards.
· Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory management of IOL stock.
· Coordinate with clinical, operations, and center teams to understand usage trends and future requirements.
· Track inventory levels, purchase orders, consumption patterns,



and procurement costs.

Candidate Requirements
· Ensure IOL stock availability with minimum/zero stock-out incidents.
· Achieve cost optimization through effective procurement and vendor negotiations.
· Maintain vendor compliance and quality adherence.
· Ensure efficient inventory planning and utilization.
· Develop reliable vendor partnerships and ensure timely supply.
Candidates with experience in ophthalmic/medical devices supply chain, pharma procurement, healthcare procurement, or medical consumables will be preferred.
Candidates should have strong knowledge of procurement, inventory planning, vendor management, negotiation, demand forecasting, and healthcare/medical product handling.
