Role: Associate – Rate Filing

Roles & Responsibilities
The key responsibility of the successful applicant will be to support the state-wise ratemaking and filing process for various lines of business, primarily in North America. This includes the actuarial rate indications, rate proposals, policyholder impact calculations, manual pages, system rate tables, state filing packages and state statutory required exhibits.
The Detailed Steps Of The Process Include
- Reviewing the data, conducting reasonableness checks,



and resolving data anomalies
- Proposing selections of premium and loss trends assumptions, and preliminary loss development factors, and obtaining the excess of loss and cat loads
- Producing statutory rate indications, and revising them based on feedback
- Running the policy impact analysis, and incorporating the state capping rules, if applicable
- Documentation activities, such as updating the rate table templates, drafting the required filing materials, assembling a filing package, drafting responses to objections from the Department of Insurance (DOI), etc.

Eligibility
- A Graduate/Post Graduate degree, with a relevant major
- Fresher, or up to 2 years of work experience in a similar / related role
- Decent actuarial exam progress - at least 1 and up to 5 exams passed
- Solid analytical skills and a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work flexibly and communicate appropriately wi
