Role: Hadoop Support Engineer – L1/L2
Experience: 6+ years
Location: Remote / US shift support
Shift: Rotational, U.S. daytime hours; on-call support required
Key Skills:
Hadoop 3.x, HDFS, YARN, ResourceManager, NodeManager, ZooKeeper
Apache Ambari administration
Apache Spark, Hive, LLAP, Tez
Apache Ranger, Kerberos, LDAP/Active Directory
Linux/Unix production support
OneFS / Isilon storage
Acceldata ODP preferred
Trino/Presto preferred
Monitoring: Acceldata Pulse, SolarWinds
L1/L2 production support, incident management, RCA, SLA/ITSM
Cluster administration, performance tuning, upgrades, patching, node commissioning/decommissioning
Shell/Python scripting
Databricks basic job/cluster monitoring and Spark troubleshooting
Workplace: Large-scale on-prem Hadoop ecosystem, 700–800 nodes and ~4 PB storage.
