This is a high-activity, front-line customer acquisition role -not an account-servicing desk job. You will own direct customer acquisition, recurring shipment generation, and tonnage & revenue growth for Rail Parcel services across your assigned market - converting field opportunity into measurable, billed volume.
Key Responsibilities :
▸ Acquire new SME, retail and commercial customers through field visits, market mapping, references and cold calling.
▸ Target traders, manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, retailers, e-commerce sellers and commercial shippers.
▸ Drive consistent daily shipment volumes and achieve assigned tonnage and revenue targets.
▸ Build a healthy prospect pipeline and convert leads into active, billing customers.
▸ Grow recurring business from existing customers and strengthen retention.
▸ Understand each customer's cargo profile, origin-destination lanes, shipment frequency and pricing needs.
▸ Identify and convert cargo suited to shift from Road, Courier or other modes onto Rail.




▸ Conduct regular market visits and gather competitor intelligence.
▸ Coordinate with Operations for seamless booking, documentation, loading and delivery.
▸ Maintain accurate CRM data, sales reports and pipeline updates.
▸ Ensure timely follow-up on collections wherever applicable.
Ideal Candidate
▸ 2–5 years of B2B / field sales experience.
▸ Background in Logistics, Courier & Express, Cargo, Transport, PTL, FTL, 3PL or E-commerce preferred.
▸ Solid local market network and proven customer acquisition capability.
▸ Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills.
▸ Highly target-oriented, energetic and self-driven.
▸ Comfortable with extensive field travel.
▸ Strong “Hunter” mindset — proven ability to generate business independently.
