About the Role
L&T; Semiconductor Technologies is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Principal System Architect – Magnetics & Power Conversion to join our Power BU.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership in the development of advanced AC-DC and DC-DC power-conversion architectures, with particular focus on high-frequency magnetics, power density, efficiency and system-level optimization for Data Center and Industrial applications.
This is a senior technical individual-contributor role for a power-electronics expert who understands that next-generation power conversion requires simultaneous optimization of semiconductor devices, converter topology, magnetics, control, packaging and thermal design.
The role combines system architecture, magnetics expertise, semiconductor product definition, modeling, hardware development and customer technical engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Power Conversion System Architecture
Define and develop advanced AC-DC and DC-DC power-conversion architectures, including isolated and non-isolated solutions.
Evaluate and select converter topologies based on efficiency, power density, switching frequency, thermal performance, reliability and system cost.
Lead system-level architecture and design trade-offs across power semiconductor devices, magnetics, control, passive components, packaging, PCB/layout and thermal management.
Drive architecture development from concept and simulation through prototype and hardware validation.
Conduct feasibility studies and architecture reviews for current technologies and product opportunities.
2. Magnetics Architecture & Design
Provide deep technical expertise and leadership for high-frequency power magnetics, including transformers, inductors, coupled inductors, planar magnetics and integrated magnetics.
