Role Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Principal Azure Network Engineer to architect, implement, and operationalize a secure, scalable, and highly available Azure cloud networking foundation. The role will be responsible for designing enterprise-grade Azure network architectures, driving network security through firewall technologies, and establishing connectivity patterns that support cloud-native platforms, data workloads, and future growth. This position works closely with Engineering, Cybersecurity, Platform Engineering, and Architecture teams to ensure a secure and resilient Azure workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement Azure Landing Zone network architecture, including hub-spoke or Virtual WAN topologies.
Define network segmentation strategies, subnet structures, IP addressing schemes, routing models, and connectivity standards.
Establish Azure networking patterns aligned with Management Groups, Subscriptions, and Virtual Networks.
Implement, configure, and manage Azure Firewall and related network security controls.




Develop secure connectivity standards for internal applications and external services.
Design and support hybrid network connectivity solutions and ensure highly available network architectures.
Architect secure networking solutions for Azure platform services and enterprise applications.
Collaborate with Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Platform Engineering teams to design, build, and operate enterprise Azure platforms.
Support network integration requirements with cloud and vendor-hosted platforms used for data and AI workloads.
Provide network design reviews and guidance as part of architecture governance processes.
Define and enforce networking standards, policies, naming conventions, tagging standards, and operational procedures.
Monitor network health, connectivity, performance, and security posture across Azure environments.
Create operational runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and enable L1/L2 suppo
