Role Description The Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL)



Operator will set up and operate vertical turning lathes to machine precision components according to engineering drawings and process plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools and fixtures, loading and securing workpieces, and adjusting machine parameters to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish. The role involves continuous monitoring of the machining process, performing basic troubleshooting, conducting routine inspections and measurements, and maintaining production logs. The operator will also carry out preventive maintenance tasks, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with quality and production teams to meet delivery targets. This is a full-time, in office role located in Coimbatore.
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, machining process sheets, and basic CAD outputs.
Hands-on experience in operating vertical turning lathes, including workpiece setup, tool selection, and machine parameter adjustment.
