ICICI Pension Fund commenced operations in May 2009 after being appointed as a pension fund manager by PFRDA and has since been approved to act as a Point of Presence (POP) under NPS. Role Description The Zonal Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for leading and expanding the pension business across an assigned zone. The role involves driving sales and distribution initiatives, managing relationships with key channel partners, corporates, and institutional clients, and ensuring achievement of business targets for NPS and related products.

The Zonal

Head will oversee a regional team, provide guidance and performance management, and coordinate with internal stakeholders such as product, operations, and compliance to ensure seamless service delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing zonal business plans, monitoring market trends, supporting training and enablement for frontline staff,



and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal risk management norms. The role also requires regular reporting on zonal performance, identifying growth opportunities, and representing the organization in external meetings and industry forums as needed.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in sales, business development, or distribution management within financial services, preferably in pensions, mutual funds, insurance, or wealth management.
- Strong leadership skills, including team management, performance coaching, and the ability to drive results across a multi-location zone.
- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with experience handling corporate, institutional, and channel partner accounts.
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the Indian financial sector; familiarity with NPS or retirement products is an advantage.
- Advanced analytical and planning skills, including comfort with data-driven decision-making, target tracking, and reporting.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present business plans and performance updates to senior leadership.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, travel within the zone as required, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
- Graduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
