Workday Finance- Senior Consultant Functional Transformation

Deloitte’s Enterprise Performance practice helps organizations improve business performance through finance transformation, digital modernization, and enterprise technology solutions. Within this practice, our team works across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and IT operations to support large-scale, package-enabled transformation initiatives.

As a Workday Finance Senior Consultant, you will work with cross-functional teams to help clients design and implement finance solutions that improve processes, enhance reporting, and support operational efficiency. Our professionals combine industry knowledge, process experience, and technology capabilities to help clients navigate complex transformation journeys and achieve meaningful business outcomes.

Level: Senior Consultant or equivalent

As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting Services, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale software solutions, lead the creation of robust pipelines and manage code deployment across environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members.

Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions.

Work you'll do

As a Senior Consultant, Functional Transformation on the Emerging ERP Solutions team, you will be responsible for:

- Analyze client requirements for Workday Financial Management and translate them into functional designs and configuration decisions.
- Support solution build, configuration, testing, and deployment activities across the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering through post-go-live support.
- Configure and test Workday business processes in partnership with onsite and cross-functional teams.
- Develop reports, support integration design and testing activities, and help resolve functional issues during implementation.
- Contribute to delivery of effective Workday solutions by coordinating with stakeholders, documenting requirements, and supporting quality outcomes.

and IT operations to support delivery of holistic performance improvement and package led large scale digital transformation. Join our team of strategic advisors and architects, differentiated by our industry depth to help collaborate and leverage your experience in strategy, process design, technology enablement, and operational services to enable the heart of business insights and collaborate with the businesses as they navigate their enterprise growth and transformation journeys. The Emerging ERP Solutions offering provides advice, planning, and implementation of Cloud ERP solutions like Workday, MS Dynamics and Infor, featuring built-in industry-specific capabilities. The USI team plays a crucial role throughout the entire engagement lifecycle, from initial pursuits to final delivery. Specializing in Financials and Supply Chain transformations, the team also implements Adaptive Planning Solutions across various industries.

Their deep expertise in both technology and domain ensures effective, tailored solutions that drive value and operational excellence for clients.

Qualifications

Required

- 6-10 years of consulting or industry experience in enterprise resource planning, finance transformation, or enterprise applications
- Experience with at least 1 full-cycle enterprise resource planning implementation
- Experience configuring, testing, deploying, or supporting Workday Financial Management or another cloud enterprise resource planning platform
- Experience in business process areas such as Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, General Ledger, Fixed Asset Management, Budgeting, Grants, or Awards
- Experience creating reports, configuration documentation, or process design materials using enterprise resource planning tools, Microsoft Visio, or Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience with cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) or platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solutions
- BE, BTech, MCA, or MSc in Computer Science, or equivalent degree from an accredited university

- Master's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
