About SlaydSlayd is a fashion discovery platform helping users discover products across every store and marketplace in India — with over 1 lakh monthly active app users and growing fast toward becoming India's biggest fashion platform.

We're now building Slayd Originals — using the trend-understanding tech we've built for discovery to create, test, and launch our own designs, fast. Think of it as India's first Indian-wear fast fashion brand: rooted in Indian and indie design sensibilities, powered by real-time trend data, and built to move at the speed of what people are actually searching for and wearing right now.

Your Role in the StoryThis role is where trend data meets the cutting table. You'll be one of the first designers on Slayd Originals — turning what our platform sees people searching for and loving into real, wearable products, fast. You won't just design in isolation; you'll work hands-on with masters and tailors to get from insight to finished garment in days and weeks, not months.

Where You'll Make Impact

- Spot and interpret trends — especially Indian and indie fashion — and translate them into design concepts our audience will actually want to wear.
- Design and develop products end-to-end: sketches, patterns, samples, and final product,



working closely with pattern masters and tailors on fit and construction.
- Source fabrics and trims with a solid working knowledge of fabric types, and what suits fast turnaround production.
- Own the sample-to-production pipeline — fittings, corrections, approvals — keeping pace with Slayd Originals' fast-fashion speed.
- Use trend and sales data (from the Slayd platform) to inform what gets designed next, closing the loop between what people search for and what gets made.

What You Bring Along

- 1-3 years designing for a label, D2C brand, or boutique (online or offline) — with multiple products actually shipped, not just concepts.
- Sharp trend-spotting instincts, especially for Indian and indie fashion.
- Hands-on pattern-making and garment construction experience — comfortable on the floor with masters and tailors, not just briefing remotely.
- Solid fabric knowledge across types, weaves, and drape.
- Comfort working fast and iteratively — this is fast fashion, not a seasonal luxury cycle.
