Build Windows Software That Powers the Enterprise

Motadata is looking for a hands-on Windows Platform Engineering Lead to build and scale enterprise-grade Windows capabilities across our product portfolio.

This is not a Windows Administrator role. We’re looking for a Windows product engineer who loves going deep into Windows internals, system-level programming, security, deployment, and performance—and can turn that expertise into reliable software running across thousands of enterprise endpoints.

? What You’ll Own

- Design and build Windows agents, services, installers, updaters, and system components.
- Engineer robust installation, upgrade, rollback, recovery, and uninstallation workflows.
- Work hands-on with Registry, GPO, Windows Services, Win32 APIs, WMI/CIM, Event Logs/ETW, PowerShell, and Task Scheduler.
- Build software compatible with Active Directory, Intune, SCCM/MECM, proxies, certificates, antivirus/EDR, and enterprise security policies.
- Optimize applications for CPU, memory, disk, network usage, stability, and long-running reliability.
- Build strong diagnostics, logging, crash handling, self-recovery, and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Implement secure handling of privileges, services, filesystem/Registry access,



code signing, and software updates.
- Investigate complex Windows deployment, compatibility, performance, and platform issues.
- Technically lead and mentor a small engineering pod from architecture through enterprise rollout.

? What You Bring

- 4–8 years of software/product engineering experience with solid Windows expertise.
- Deep knowledge of Windows internals, Registry, GPO, Windows Services, security architecture, and the native Windows ecosystem.
- Strong programming skills in C++, C#/.NET, and/or PowerShell.
- Experience building Windows agents, services, endpoint software, monitoring/security agents, or system-level products.
- Hands-on experience with Windows installers, packaging, upgrades, code signing, and enterprise deployment.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Ability to provide hands-on technical leadership to a small engineering team.

⭐ Great If You’ve Worked With

Experience in UEM/endpoint management, observability agents, EDR/security agents, ITOM, patch management, RMM, or enterprise endpoint software will be highly valued.

Experience deploying Windows software across thousands of enterprise endpoints is a major advantage.
