Role Description The Western Dance Teacher – PYP is a full-time, on-site role based at the Meerut campus. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging Western dance lessons for Primary Years Programme students, aligned with DPSG’s curriculum and experiential learning philosophy. Daily responsibilities include choreographing age-appropriate routines, conducting regular practice sessions, preparing students for school events and performances, and integrating dance with themes from classroom learning.





The role involves assessing student progress, maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment, collaborating with other educators to support holistic development, and participating in staff meetings, workshops, and school activities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Dance Instruction and Teaching, with the ability to work effectively with primary school learners.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Dance and Dance Education, including knowledge of Western dance forms and child-centered pedagogies.
- Candidates should possess foundational skills in Music to support rhythm, coordination, and performance quality in dance sessions.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field; teaching certifications or PYP experience are an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in school-based or institutional dance teaching, particularly with young learners.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to student safety and well-being.
- Ability to design inclusive, creative lesson plans and prepare students for events, competitions, and stage performances.
