About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases and test plans based on functional and business requirements
- Conduct API testing to validate backend functionality, data integrity, and system integrations
- Log, track, and manage defects using bug-tracking tools, and follow through until resolution
- Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements and clarify ambiguities
- Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not break existing functionality
- Participate in requirement discussions, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups
- Document test results, prepare test summary reports, and communicate quality status to stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to QA best practices and contribute to continuous process improvement
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing:
- Proven experience in API Testing (tools like Postman,
REST Assured, or similar)
- Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience writing clear, structured test cases and test scenarios
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or similar)
- Basic understanding of client-server architecture and how APIs interact with front-end/back-end systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills:
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation
- Familiarity with automation testing concepts (not mandatory, but a plus)
