Purpose and Scope:
- Essential Responsibilities:
- Subject matter expertise lends itself to advising the AMP Managers, the Operations Flight, and Engineering Flight with recommendations on how best to invest in the systems under their purview.
- Provide technical guidance to support the Facilities Structure & Finishes Sub-AMP functions.
- Responsible for the asset lifecycle management portfolio encompassing the building's structure, envelope, and interior finishes. This includes foundations, structural framing, roofing, exterior walls, windows, doors, interior walls, flooring, ceilings, and paint.
- Will advise and assist with the development of the overall inspection, maintenance, repair, sustainment, and recapitalization plan for these assets, ensuring structural integrity, weather tightness, and aesthetic quality while also supporting the identification of FYDP+3 requirements.
- Works closely with the Facilities AMP and Sub-AMP, if required.
- Assists with the pre-design work for new construction, renovations and improvement projects for real property facilities.




- Interprets and adapts traditional methods and approaches in developing design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that support project objectives and standards.
- Responsible for selected construction inspections, quality control and submittal reviews beyond the expertise of construction managers.
- Assists with the development of cost estimates and time schedules.
- Prepares necessary correspondence, technical reports, contract documents, fact sheets and status report and prepares final construction drawings suitable for obtaining qualified bids from Contractors.
- Complies with health, safety and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work setting.
- Acts as Alternate BUILDER Point of Contact (POC).
