Role Description The Weaving Peg Plan Master and Fabric Analyst is a full-time remote role responsible for planning, monitoring, and optimizing weaving peg plans to ensure efficient fabric production and consistent quality. This role involves analyzing fabric specifications, loom capacity, and production schedules, converting fabric designs into precise peg plans, and coordinating with design, production, and quality teams to align technical details with fashion requirements.
The professional will review fabric samples, assess weave structures and performance, and recommend adjustments to improve durability, appearance,
and cost-effectiveness. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate records of peg layouts and fabric parameters, preparing technical documentation for internal teams and buyers, and supporting troubleshooting of weaving-related issues. The role also requires collaborating with merchandising and sales teams to translate customer requirements into feasible fabric plans and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
Qualifications
- Solid analytical skills to interpret fabric specifications, production data, and weaving requirements.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with design, production, quality, and merchandising teams.
- Knowledge of retail and retail sales environments to understand market expectations and product performance.
- Experience in sales or buyer interaction, preferably within textiles or fashion, to support customer-focused fabric planning.
- Background in textile engineering, fabric design, or a related field; relevant diploma or degree is an advantage.
- Hands-on understanding of weaving processes, loom types, peg plan creation, and fabric analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in using textile-related software or CAD tools for weave design and technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet production deadlines.
- Attention to detail, commitment to quality, and familiarity with global standards and compliance in textiles.
