Company Description Solvation LLC is a privacy and information governance innovator that helps organizations build and maintain robust compliance programs. The company delivers turnkey Compliance Programs and Managed Services designed to reduce audit burdens and streamline regulatory processes.

By uncovering meaningful insights and crafting effective compliance plans, Solvation LLC enables clients to focus on their core business while their digital assets are protected. The team is dedicated to making data protection a positive, value-adding experience and partners closely with organizations to advance their strategic initiatives.

Role Description This full-time remote Web Analytics Consultant role focuses on helping clients understand and optimize their digital performance while maintaining strong privacy and compliance practices. We are scaling our CMP remediation practice across more US client sites, and this role is core to doing that without diagnosis and QA becoming the bottleneck.

Twelve months in, this person will have run end-to-end CMP remediation for multiple US client websites - cookie scans completed, cookies classified, consent banners configured and deployed, Google Consent Mode v2 wired, and QA signed off - increasingly through tooling and automation they've built themselves rather than one-off manual investigation each time. They will be the delivery owner for technical remediation engagements, working directly with Solvation consultants and client-side developers. Much of this work starts with someone else's implementation already in place - a banner that's live but not actually gating the right vendors, a Consent Mode signal that isn't reaching GA4, a GTM container inherited from a prior agency.

This person reads the evidence - network requests, console output, tag configurations - using AI-assisted diagnostics and repeatable automated checks to find the actual cause faster, not just the one who builds a clean setup from a blank slate.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate clear, actionable insights.
- Candidates should possess Web Analytics expertise,

including hands-on experience with common analytics platforms and implementing tracking strategies.
- 5+ years of hands-on web development experience working across common CMS and ecommerce platforms (WordPress, Shopify, HubSpot, Next.js, React.js, etc.) and with client developer teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify the source of a cookie, pixel, cookieless ping and other tracking technologies - reading network requests, console errors and GTM debug traces.
- Working experience with Google Tag Manager - creating tags, triggers and variables for consent signal management, and automating validation of them where possible rather than checking each one by hand.
- Ability to read and write JavaScript at the level needed to place scripts, debug consent callbacks, and adapt or fix vendor snippets that aren't firing or blocking as expected - comfortable using AI coding assistants to accelerate this without losing the ability to verify the output line by line.
- Understanding of third-party cookie behaviour, first-party data layers and how consent categories map to tracking technologies.
- Familiarity with Google Consent Mode v2 and how CMPs integrate with it.
- Clear written communication in English - client-facing QA reports are part of the job.
- Comfort triaging live, client-reported issues - often against a compliance deadline - rather than only working from a clean implementation spec.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development or diagnostic tooling to speed up debugging and cut down manual, repetitive work - a track record of actually building something with them, not just casual use.

Preferred

- Experience with ObservePoint or a comparable tag auditing tool.
- Familiarity with US privacy regulations (CCPA/CPRA) and EU/UK GDPR as they apply to cookie consent requirements.
- Experience working in a consulting or agency environment serving multiple clients simultaneously.

- Exposure to IAB TCF 2.2 or Global Privacy Control (GPC) implementation.
- Basic familiarity with analytics platforms (GA4, Adobe Analytics) in the context of consent-mode modelling.
- Experience building lightweight automation or scripts (e.g. Python, Playwright or similar) to run repeatable consent-flow or tag-audit checks instead of doing them by hand each time.

What You'll Do

- Implement and validate Google Consent Mode v2 (Basic and Advanced); confirm signal transmission to GA4 and Google Ads using automated signal-verification checks, and troubleshoot signal transmission when it fails.
- Distinguish what a CMP's admin panel claims is happening from what's actually happening at runtime, and verify the difference directly - via automated runtime checks wherever the scenario allows - rather than trusting the configuration screen.
- Diagnose live CMP deployments to determine if they are behaving as configured - tags firing before consent, categories that appear blocked but aren't, Consent Mode signals not reaching GA4 or Ads — using browser DevTools, view-source review, network traces (HAR), GTM debug/preview mode and AI-assisted log and trace analysis to find the actual cause faster than manual review alone.
- Suggest remediations for incorrect consent behavior and ensure it functions correctly once implemented, building reusable fixes and scripts when the same failure pattern shows up across clients rather than solving it fresh each time.
- Build and run automated consent-flow tests across browsers and devices wherever the scenario allows; produce QA reports - generated with minimal manual assembly - that a non-technical consultant can read and share with a client.
- Maintain implementation documentation for each client engagement; build automated drift-detection and re-scan triggers that flag changes on client sites without manual monitoring.
- Support consultants in client calls where technical questions arise about the implementation.
- Continuously evaluate new tools, AI capabilities and execution approaches for CMP diagnostics and QA, and fold the ones that cut down manual, repetitive work into the standard delivery playbook.
