Position: Shift Engineer C Licence

Location: Coimbatore

Licence: Valid C Licence

Experience: 5 years preferred

Shift: Rotational shifts

Job Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage engineering activities during the assigned shift.
- Monitor HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS and other electrical systems.
- Ensure uninterrupted and safe power supply to the facility.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and monitor operating parameters.
- Attend electrical breakdowns and coordinate with technicians for timely rectification.
- Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and statutory requirements.
- Maintain shift logs, checklists, breakdown reports and maintenance records.
- Allocate duties to technicians and monitor their performance.
- Coordinate with the Facility Manager, client and other engineering teams.




- Ensure proper implementation of PTW and LOTO procedures.
- Handle electrical emergencies and coordinate corrective actions.
- Prepare daily shift reports and ensure proper shift handover.
- Monitor energy consumption and support energy-saving initiatives.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of HT/LT electrical systems and facility operations.
- Knowledge of DG, transformer, UPS, APFC and electrical distribution systems.
- Good troubleshooting and team-management skills.
- Knowledge of electrical safety and statutory compliance.
- Valuable communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in rotational shifts.
