Isolation beds, HDU JOB TITLE Sr Staff Nurse - ICU & Ward QUALIFICATION B. Sc Nursing / Post Basic Nursing / GNM REPORTING TO Dept. In-charge / ANS EXPERIENCE 4 Years for B. Sc or 6 Years for GNM SOW (SCOPE OF WORK) 1. The Sr Staff Nurse - ICU & Ward will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care to intensive care unit patient with utmost care.

- The Sr Staff Nurse - ICU & Ward will responsible for the management and coordination with duty doctors, providing guidance and assistance to the patients companions/relatives as per the directions of the doctors.
- The Sr Staff Nurse - ICU & Ward will be the responsible for the overall management which includes and not limited to manpower management, complete inventory maintenance & management, patient drug administration and documentation. 1. Role Summary

Responsible for ensuring high-quality nursing care in the ward, supervising staff, maintaining patient safety, and ensuring compliance with hospital and Quality standards.
1. Key Responsibilities

A. Clinical Care
- Assess patient needs and provide individualized nursing care.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as per doctors orders.
- Monitor vital signs, pain levels, fluid balance,



intake-output charting.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, procedures, and surgeries.
- Provide postoperative care and monitor for complications.
- Maintain infection control and isolation protocols.

B. Supervision & Ward Management
- Supervise work of junior staff nurses, Nursing Assistants, and students.
- Ensure availability of supplies, consumables, linen, and functioning equipment.
- Conduct daily ward rounds with the ward in-charge and doctors.
- Ensure cleanliness and overall maintenance of the ward in absence of ward incharge

C. Documentation & Quality Compliance
- Maintain accurate patient records: treatment sheets, nursing notes, handover notes, restraint register, incident reporting.
- Ensure proper consent forms, discharge process, and protected medication practices.
- Participate in audits, trainings, and quality improvement programs

D. Patient & Family Communication
- Educate patients and families regarding disease, medications, discharge instructions, and home care.
- Handle patient queries and grievances respectfully.

E. Coordination
- Coordinate with doctors, diagnostics, pharmacy, housekeeping, and other support departments to ensure seamless patient care.
